so...last night was the WBT II at TruePoker. Huge thanks to Iggy for organizing the affair. It was great getting to put a "face" on the other poker bloggers -- or at least getting to see them play.
I busted out in 12th place, out of 28. I am very happy with that -- I honestly went in just hoping not to be out first.
My fears almost came true 11 hands in, when Hdouble tried to put me all-in after a couple of raises. I folded, and it left me in last chip place, with T300! I was dealt wired tens, and by the time the showdown came, the board was Jd Ac 7c Td Qh. I was trying to play strong, but I figured my trip tens were going to crumble to the nut straight. So...Hdouble: did you have it?
I managed to grind my way back up -- into a chip lead at one point, I think -- thanks to a tons of wired pairs. My downfall came rigth after the break, when I had my AJ, with an A on the board, slapped around by ChrisHal's AK.
My starting table was:
Ugartes PG
deguillome
Jasonholdem
Boygza
Otis B Dart
tpfelt
John51
Here are a bunch of recaps, and placements below -- if anyone could help with who went out when, or if you were about to get a full hand history, please send it my way!

I'll add more later...I'm coming down with a cold, and I can't really focus on links and typing
Yeah, it was the fact that neither of us bet anything before the river that tipped it off. I had the K so I knew you couldn't out kick me. Worst case is you had AK too and we split.
Hope you feel better!
Nice blog. Hey I think somewhere in my lengthy report I mentioned the final table and who went out when... you just have to sift through all the crap in there!
Thanks for the linkup!
I busted out after you in 11th - got farther than I ever expected and had a blast. Looking forward to the next one!
(I've put up a forum for PJKs at my place - kebzweb.com - the link's in the menu bar...)
I was tpfelt, since the two letter usernames just don't seem to work, and I went out in 14th. I had hoped to bust you when I put you all-in for your last 300, but you made your flush in the furious insta-all-in. And I even made my trips. You also left hdouble off your starting table. Just because he wasn't there for very long, there's no reason not to list him.
Good call on trying to piece together all the finishes. I was going to try to do it over at my blog, but it's been a very hectic day and I never got the chance. Now I can just link over to you.
Oh yeah, and Frobozz was Grubby himself.
Yes, I did have the nut straight. I almost typed "nice laydown" but I was hoping to knock you out the next hand. I guess that didn't work...
Oh and I had KQ, so I hit the straight on the turn. The river actually screwed me, I probably should have went all in on the turn...
